ASRC INNOVATION HUB

As part of my ongoing support of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), when the ASRC approached me to assist with the fit out of their new Innovation Hub I of course said yes.

Launched in 2015, ASRC’s Innovation Hub’s purpose is to increase social and economic participation of people seeking asylum and is found on the philosophy of symbiotic innovation, where people seeking asylum are included in the management and delivery of services by focusing on their aspirations, strengths, skills, and experience. It was important to create both a professional and inspiring working environment. Built on generous donations and the time from a number of businesses and individuals. It was a privilege to donate my time, knowledge and experience to help create this important place of empowerment. This then extended to working with their Youth Empowerment Team as a mentor to develop and lead a creative programme for some of their amazing youth.
